Emerson has acquired two companies that provide systems to monitor the safe transport of fresh food and other temperature-sensitive goods.
The acquisition of Jupiter, Fla.-based Locus Traxx and Boise, Idaho-based PakSense will expand Emerson’s presence in the “cold chain” cargo management industry. Emerson already provides remote monitoring innovations to 17,000 food retail sites globally and has provided monitoring technologies to 2,000 vessels in the past decade.
Terms of the deals were not disclosed.
