Solid Gold Pet, a pet food maker, is moving its corporate headquarters from Greenville, South Carolina, to Chesterfield, where it plans to add more than 20 employees.
Company officials said they made the move to be part of “the pet food capital,” referencing St. Louis and industry giants such as Purina. Solid Gold makes holistic pet food for dogs and cats.
Solid Gold Pet CEO Bob Rubin said, “Our supply chain and manufacturing facilities are also located in the Midwest. Housing our corporate offices in St. Louis will allow Solid Gold Pet to centralize our support for our customers and vendors, which means increased efficiency and productivity.”
The company was offered $438,083 through the Missouri Works program for moving its corporate headquarters to Missouri.
