St. Louis biotech startup PierianDx acquires Utah software company

PierianDx, a biotech startup based in St. Louis, has acquired Tute Genomics, a genomics software company based in Provo, Utah.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Tute’s exome testing capabilities will be added to PierianDx’s Clinical Genomicist Workspace platform, a cloud-based software platform for somatic cancer that enables personalized medicine for clinical labs.

PierianDx will maintain the Tute Genomics solution until the platforms are fully integrated in the spring of 2017. The deal adds seven employees to the PierianDx team, which now stands at about 60.
