Grocery store chain Schnucks and union leaders have reached a tentative agreement on a new contract proposal.
David Cook, president of the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 655, said in a statement that the union’s leadership has concluded negotiations with Schnucks and has reached a tentative contract agreement “which has the unanimous recommendation of your bargaining committee.”
A previous version of the contract covered more than 4,500 members of the union working at Schnucks, which is owned by Schnuck Markets.
A contract ratification meeting for the Schnucks employees will be held Wednesday night.
