Berkshire Hathaway, the holding company controlled by billionaire Warren Buffett, has revealed a new stake in Creve Coeur-based Monsanto.
Berkshire acquired 8,041,784 Monsanto shares in the fourth quarter of 2016, according to a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
The shares were valued at $846.1 million, according to the filing. That’s $105.21 per share.
Monsanto shares closed Tuesday at $107.63.
