RubinBrown LLP, one of St. Louis’ largest accounting firms, plans to merge Stewart Archibald & Barney of Las Vegas into the firm, effective June 1.
The Las Vegas market was attractive for the “strategic platform” it will provide for RubinBrown’s national gaming practice, as well as for its thriving business climate, RubinBrown Chairman John Herber Jr. said in a release Monday.
St. Louis-based RubinBrown is tied with PwC for the largest accounting firm in St. Louis based on number of CPAs, and is the nation’s 45th largest accounting and business consulting firm, according to Inside Public Accounting.
Stewart Archibald & Barney (SAB) is Las Vegas’ sixth largest accounting firm, officials said.
Combined, RubinBrown and SAB will have more than 600 employees in five offices: St. Louis, Las Vegas, Denver, Kansas City and Nashville.
