Online retailer Amazon is looking to fill 1,000 full-time positions at a new fulfillment center that is under construction in the Kansas City area.
Though Amazon has not announced an opening date for the 855,000-plus-square-foot packing and shipping center in Kansas City, Kansas, the company has said it normally starts hiring around one or two months before a new facility opens.
Employees at the facility will pick, pack, and ship smaller items, such as toys, books and electronics.
The company said full-time employees will receive a variety of benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, stock options, 401(k) support and up to 20 weeks of paid parental leave.
