TechAccel, a Kansas City-based firm that invests in and develops technologies in the agriculture and animal health sectors, has completed an agreement with the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center to lease office space in St. Louis, TechAccel announced in a release.
Terms of the deal and a dollar amount were not released.
The two entities have partnered before. They run a joint grant program, announced at the end of last year, with the stated goal of commercializing agricultural innovations. TechAccel will initially provide $250,000 of grants for use in proof-of-concept and commercial feasibility studies at or related to the Danforth Center.
Michael Helmstetter, president and CEO of TechAccel said in a release that the deal was a “win-win for all.”
“Working with the Danforth Center is the best of all possible worlds,” Helmstetter said, “as our science team will have access to Danforth Center resources and the opportunity to collaborate with other researchers.”
