Mallinckrodt receives Justice Department subpoena over opioid products

Mallinckrodt said Wednesday that it received a subpoena from the U.S. Department of Justice on July 27 regarding its sales and promotional materials of its opioid products.

The company said in a statement it “will cooperate fully with the DOJ.”

Mallinckrodt manufactures generic painkillers like oxycodone.

Earlier this year, Mallinckrodt agreed to pay a $35 million settlement to resolve probes into its monitoring and reporting of suspicious orders of controlled substances.
