Washington University in St. Louis moved up one spot in the annual U.S. News and World Report Best Colleges ranking, checking in tied for No. 18 on the “national universities” list.
St. Louis University climbed two spots among national universities, from No. 96 to No. 94, tied with two other schools.
Otherwise, many of the Missouri schools on the list took a hit this year.
The University of Missouri-Columbia dropped nine spots, to No. 120 from No. 111, on the national universities list.
Maryville University dropped a spot to 165 among national universities, tying with the Missouri University of Science and Technology in Rolla, as well as four other schools. The University of Missouri-Kansas City tied for 216th among national universities.
Truman State university ranked No. 8 among regional universities in the Midwest. Rockhurst University tied for No. 11 on the same list. Webster University (23), Drury University (26) and Central Methodist University (27) all tied for spots in the top 30 among Midwest regional schools.
