Go west, restaurants: St. Louis city eateries try county locations

An increasing number of St. Louis restaurants traditionally located in the city limits are turning their attention westward as they look to cater to growing populations and discretionary dollars in St. Louis County.

Gioia’s Deli, Mission Taco, Seoul Taco and Syberg’s are among the eateries with locations in the city that have opened or are scheduled to open locations in St. Louis County.

Restaurateurs say it’s a numbers game: Shifting populations make St. Louis County an inviting target, especially at night and on weekends. For many, that outweighs sometimes higher rents in the area.
