About 100 jobs are leaving Kansas City, Missouri, in a state-assisted headquarters move across the state line to Shawnee, Kansas.
PBI-Gordon Corp., a landscape product maker, had been headquartered in Missouri since 1981.
The company said the move will allow it to grow and own its own property instead leasing it.
A Kansas Department of Commerce official said the state is working on an incentives contract for PBI-Gordon, but it is incomplete. The city of Shawnee has provided no financial incentives in the move.
