Penny Pennington will take over as managing partner of Edward Jones to start 2019, the company announced Monday.
She will become the sixth managing partner of the Des Peres-based financial services firm, replacing the retiring Jim Weddle, who has led Edward Jones since 2006.
Pennington has been principal of the company’s Client Strategies Group since 2015 and a member of the firm’s executive, management and audit committees. She joined Edward Jones in 2000 as a financial adviser.
Under Weddle, Edward Jones more than doubled its revenue, from $3.5 billion to $7.5 billion, grew from 9,000 to 13,000 branches and increased its footprint in the St. Louis area, opening a Maryland Heights campus.
