GlobalSTL, a St. Louis initiative to attract international businesses, is teaming with AgrOnov, a French startup accelerator, in hopes of bringing more food and agriculture technology companies to the area.
GlobalSTL and AgrOnov have signed a memorandum of understanding about the effort, which will seek to leverage St. Louis’ growing agriculture technology community, especially around the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center. The deal also will give St. Louis companies opportunities to explore operations in France.
Previously, GlobalSTL struck a similar deal designed to attract Israeli biotech and agtech companies to the region. That has led several companies from Israel to establish North American headquarters in St. Louis.
