Energizer Holdings, the battery maker based in Town & Country, has agreed to acquire Nu Finish Brands, which produces car care products, the company announced Tuesday.
Energizer will use cash and debt to acquire Nu Finish, which is owned by Chicago-based Reed-Unit Corp.
It’s the second transaction of the year for Energizer, following its $2 billion purchase of rival battery maker Rayovac.
Beyond its battery business, Energizer owns a number of auto care brands. Nu Finish makes products including car polish and scratch remover.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
