KCRise fund announces investment in startups PayIt, Main Street Data

KCRise has announced investment in two more Kansas City startups. PayIt and Main Street Data are the newest of the 14 technology companies included in the co-investment fund’s portfolio.

PayIt is a financial technology startup designed to help users to take care of government-related business, from registering vehicles to paying utility bills.

Main Street Data is an agriculture data analytics startup that provides machine-learning tools to help farmers optimize production and maximize the price received for their crops.

KCRise is led by Darcy Howe and was launched in 2016, following the KC Rising initiative aimed at bolstering Kansas City’s economic growth. The group invests in high-growth, early-stage technology companies seeking at least $1 million in capital and located in the Kansas City area.

To date, it has invested $6 million in Kansas City companies.
