Developers plan $63 million luxury hotel by KC’s Kauffman Center

Developers want to bring a $63 million hotel they say would be the most luxurious in Kansas City to a plot of land across from the Kauffman Center for Performing Arts.

Kansas City developer Whitney Kerr Sr., of Cushman & Wakefield, and Colorado hotel developer Eric Holtze, of EJ Holtze Corp., are planning a 13-story, 145-room hotel they’re calling “Hotel Bravo!”

They have an agreement with PAC Holding, Inc. to acquire the land and have lined up J.E. Dunn Construction to build the project.

They’re seeking tax increment financing for the project and have pledged 25 percent of proceeds would go to taxing jurisdictions including the Kansas City School District and Kansas City Public Library.
