Crews are nearing completion of renovations on a pair of boutique hotels slated to open by year’s end along a quarter-mile stretch of Olive Street in downtown St. Louis.
Development firm Restoration St. Louis will soon complete a $55 million renovation of the Union Trust building, which is set to re-open as Hotel Saint Louis, a Marriott Autograph Collection hotel. The project will include apartments, a rooftop pool and bar, a restaurant and a spa at street level.

Both hotels are slated for December openings.

Amos Harris, a downtown developer who’s part of a group behind the Railway Exchange project, said the projects will help downtown St. Louis toward his goal of creating a sense of “activity and density and vitality” in the area.
