Missouri Board OKs Bonds for Ballpark Village

JEFFERSON CITY — Missouri state officials have granted the final OK for incentives to help jump-start the St. Louis Cardinals’ Ballpark Village project.

The Missouri Development Finance Board voted 11-1 today in favor of the state’s share of $17 million in tax incentives to help fund the $89 million first phase of the project.

A team of city leaders, Cardinals representatives and project developers pitched the project to the board last month with a presentation praised by several MDFB members.
