Overland Park Council Approves $100 Million for Lionsgate Project

The Overland Park City Council unanimously approved the public financing and final plans for the Prairiefire at Lionsgate project during a special meeting on Monday evening.

The 60-acre entertainment, shopping and residential district, slated for 135th Street and Nall Avenue, will be financed using private investors, a community improvement district sales tax, and a STAR bond, all totaling more than $100 million.
