Euronet Worldwide Inc. posted $14.6 million, or 28 cents per share, net earnings for the third quarter of 2012, in contrast to the loss of $3.2 million, or 6 cents a share, during the third quarter of 2011.
The Leawood, Kan., -based global provider of electronic payment services. reported $316.4 million in third-quarter revenue, compared with $299.5 million during the same period last year.
The company’s epay segment, their largest money-maker, took a hit. The division dropped 6 percent in revenue when foreign currency was taken into account. The epay unit processes electronic transactions from mostly prepaid mobile service.
