St. Louis-based Wells Fargo Advisors has named company veteran David Kowach president of its Private Client Group, the largest business division of the brokerage firm.

Kowach most recently was managing director of the brokerage firm’s Business Development Group. He replaces Jim Hays, who last month was named to head Wells Fargo’s Wealth Brokerage Services.

Kowach will oversee the nearly 11,000 financial advisers who work with clients through Wells Fargo Advisors’ brokerage offices nationwide.
