Tallgrass Energy Partners LP has closed on its $3.3 billion acquisition of assets from Kinder Morgan Energy Partners L.P.
The deal, which had to be approved by the Federal Trade Commission closed Tuesday.
Overland Park-based Tallgrass paid $1.8 billion in cash to acquire Kinder Morgan Interstate Gas Transmission; Trailblazer Pipeline Co.; the Casper-Douglas natural gas processing and West Frenchie Draw treating facilities in Wyoming; and a 50 percent stake in the Rockies Express Pipeline. Including the debt assumed from the Rockies Express Pipeline, the deal is valued at $3.3 billion.
