What Went Wrong At Hostess

When I was a kid, Wonder Bread was a staple in most kitchens, and Hostess was an aspirational brand. A Twinkie or Ding Dong in your lunch meant that your family had a little extra to spend on the good things in life.

Unfortunately for Hostess Brands, white bread long ago lost its sense of wonder, and a child of upwardly mobile parents is more likely to be sent to school with organic applesauce than with a Ho Ho.
