KC Office Tower Sold

The City Center Square office tower, one of downtown Kansas City’s more prominent buildings, has been bought by out-of-town investors who plan to make big upgrades to remedy its half-empty occupancy rate.

The 30-story building sold for $17.5 million recently to Alex Sassoon, David Werner and Elie Schwartz. The investors bought the City Center Square from Time Equities, a New York firm that paid $29 million for the tower in 2003. Tenants include the Kansas City Convention & Visitors Associationm and the Kansas City Business Journal.
