Bank of Kansas City added five vice presidents from UMB to the fixed-income bond trading portfolio shop it’s building in the Kansas City area. The five vice presidents resigned from similar fixed-income roles at UMB.
Mike Brown, senior vice president and regional manager of securities for Bank of Kansas City Financial, said he already has experts who deal with the insurance business, the banking industry, credit unions and foreign financial institutions. The bank already has a dealer desk that trades with fixed-income organizations of all different sizes. Brown said the new addition gives Bank of Kansas City the final piece it was looking for, and the bank can now focus on the growth.
