Missouri House Sends Tax Reduction Bill To Governor

The Missouri House approved wide-reaching legislation cutting personal income, corporate and business taxes, sending the measure to Gov. Jay Nixon. The vote was six votes shy of being veto-proof. The bill previously passed by the Senate would gradually cut personal income taxes by a half of a point and phase in both a 50 percent deduction on business income on individual tax returns and a reduction on corporate income taxes from 6.25 percent to 3.25 percent.
