Nixon, Seeking Comprehensive Tax Credit Reform, Vetoes Bill

Gov. Jay Nixon has vetoed legislation that would eliminate a tax credit program for -income elderly and disabled renters, and he’s urging lawmakers to pass legislation in the final days of the session to fix a budget hole the veto creates. Nixon criticized the Legislature for not passing what he deems as “comprehensive tax credit reform” and for putting money from the tax credit repeal toward other programs.
