St. Louis CFOs Express Optimism, But Most Won’t Hire In Q3

Nearly 90 percent of CFOs in the St. Louis area showed optimism about their company’s growth in the third quarter, but CFOs planning to hire in the quarter are outnumbered by those who don’t plan to add staff.

One in 10 St. Louis CFOs plan to hire full-time employees for the third quarter, while 17 percent don’t plan to make any hires and 6 percent expect to reduce positions, according to a survey conducted by staffing company Robert Half. Although confidence about company potential prevails among CFOs, almost half said it is challenging to find skillful employees.
