In Depth: KC Board of Trade Heading To Chicago

After 157 years, trading in hard red winter wheat futures will come to an end Friday at the Kansas City Board of Trade. The pit trading will largely be a private affair that will be closed to the public. Late last year, Chicago-based CME Group acquired the Board of Trade for $126 million. Starting Monday, trading in hard red winter wheat, which is used for bread, will take place in Chicago.
