Kansas City Banking Company Buys Financial Services Firm

The Bank of Kansas City’s holding company has entered into an agreement to acquire GTrust Financial Corp., which adds $600 million in assets under management to the bank’s $3.5 billion. It also gives BOK Financial locations in Topeka, Wichita, Marysville, Larned and Overland Park. Aside from Overland Park, BOK has no presence in those cities.
The deal also adds a team of 30 experienced trust and investment professionals to the BOK network. A BOK Financial executive said the acquisition will “give us an instant and significant presence in markets where we really don’t have a presence today.”
