American Century Investments has chosen Victor Zhang and David MacEwen as its new chief investment officers. The two will share responsibility for overseeing the Kansas City-based mutual fund company’s $137 billion in assets. They replace departed CIO Enrique Change, who left earlier this year for a job at Janus Capital Group Inc.

Zhang comes from Wilshire Funds Management in Los Angeles, where he was president and chief investment officer. He will oversee American Century’s equity investment management.

MacEwen, who has been with American Century since 1991, will head up the company’s global fixed income operations.
