Stifel’s Profit Jumps In Fourth Quarter

Stifel Financial Corp.’s fourth-quarter income rose by 20.8 percent to $48.3 million compared with the prior-year period, as revenue grew in both its global wealth management business and institutional group. The St. Louis-based company reported that net revenue in the quarter ended Dec. 31 was $562.5 million, up 36.8 percent from $411.3 million in the fourth quarter of 2012.

The financial services holding company attributes its revenue growth to multiple acquisitions that date back to late 2012.
