Reports that Sprint has worked out terms for a $32 billion acquisition of T-Mobile have led to speculation about the deal’s potential impact on Kansas City.

Some reports predict an end to the Sprint name, a CEO to replace Dan Hesse, a new name for the Sprint Center and the loss of jobs in Kansas City if a merger takes place.

Reports by Bloomberg News, The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal emerged earlier this month about the merger. A Sprint/T-Mobile announcement would likely not be made until next month, the New York Times report said.
