Earnings release at 4 p.m., conference call at 4:30 p.m.

Analyst expectations: H&R Block, Inc., the Kansas City-based tax services provider, will report its fiscal year 2015 third quarter results after the market closes. Analysts expect the company to announce a loss of $0.15 per share and revenue of $526.6 million for the quarter. In the same quarter last year, the tax service reported a loss of $0.78 per share and revenue of $550.7 million.

Recent news: In February, H&R Block announced that it will offer half-off deal to customers of its rivals in this year’s tax season. Taxpayers who switch to Block will pay only half the price they paid last year to another tax preparer. In January, The company signed a multiyear agreement with the NBA and became the official tax services partner of the basketball league.
