Sprint Employees Question Softbank Deal’s Impact

A partnership with SoftBank Corp. may mean much-needed capital for Sprint Nextel Corp., but employees are wondering whether an alignment with the Japanese wireless carrier will translate into many workplace changes.Questions about how the $20.1 billion SoftBank deal would affect future day-to-day operations and company culture came up during a Monday quarterly employee meeting at Overland Park-based Sprint, according to a partial transcript Sprint filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission. SoftBank is attempting to purchase a 70 percent stake in Sprint.
