Garmin CEO Sells Stock Shares Worth $74 Million

The chairman and chief executive of Garmin Ltd., has sold more than 1.7 million shares of stock in the GPS technology company, generating $74 million.
Min Kao, co-founder of the Olathe-based maker of navigational devices, sold the shares in a series of transactions that concluded Tuesday, according to insider trading documents filed with the SEC. Kao still controls 39 million Garmin shares, the document said. According to Forbes magazine, Kao is worth about $2.3 billion because of his Garmin stock.
