Jackson County Halts Support For KC Metro Commuter Rail Plan

Jackson County will no longer push for a plan to fund a commuter rail project with a 1-cent sales tax on the county’s August ballot, officials said. The county executive said unresolved issues with the Omaha-based Union Pacific Railroad Co. and Kansas City Southern Railway Co. motivated his decision to delay the plan for now.
