Boeing, Suppliers Brace For End Of Super Hornet Production

The Obama administration must decide by Tuesday whether it wants to continue the production of the F/A-18 Super Hornet, which Boeing produces at its Defense, Space and Security facility in St. Louis.

There are currently no new orders for the F/A-18 fuselage, and the last order should be heading to Boeing Co.’s assembly plant in St. Louis by the end of 2016.

After March 4, when the Obama administration will send its 2015 fiscal budget request to Congress, it will be up to Congress to decide if it will go along with the administrations decision.
