Not expanding Medicaid in Missouri could result in nearly 9,000 jobs lost, $1.9 billion in reduced capital investment or $1.1 billion in cost shifting to the insured, according to an analysis from the Missouri Hospital Association. On the flip side, a previous study from the University of Missouri reported that Medicaid expansion could create more than 22,000 jobs.
