Twelve mid-Missouri business and organizations of different shapes and sizes, with unique origins and distinct purposes are all alike today in at least one way: They are being celebrated for exemplary kindness.
These twelve are recipients of the inaugural Kindness in Business awards, presented by Missouri Business Alert and Children’s Grove. The awards celebrate Boone County businesses and organizations that have shown and promoted kindness in the face of the unprecedented challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic.
The dozen honorees were chosen through a process that started in early September with a public nomination period and culminated in the selection of honorees by an awards committee. More than 75 businesses and organizations were nominated, and 12 were selected to receive these first-time awards.
Four honorees were picked in each of three categories: Kindness to Employees, Kindness to Youth and Kindness to the Community. The twelve award recipients are listed below, including links to profiles of each.

All of this year’s honorees will be celebrated in a virtual ceremony on Nov. 13. More information about the awards and a complete list of nominees is available on our Kindness in Business page.
