Gallup will release its monthly report on daily consumer spending in the U.S., providing a glimpse of how Americans are using discretionary funds.

It’s Election Day, and two of Missouri’s high-profile races are projected to be close. A Monmouth University poll released Tuesday showed Republican Eric Greitens and Democrat Chris Koster tied at 46 percent in the governor’s race and Republican Roy Blunt with a narrow lead over Democrat Jason Kander, 47 percent to 46 percent, in their race for U.S. Senate. The same poll showed a wider margin in the presidential race in Missouri, with Republican Donald Trump leading Democrat Hillary Clinton, 52 percent to 38 percent.
The National Federation on Independent Businesses will release its monthly Index of Small Business Optimism. The index dipped last month and has been adversely affected in recent months by uncertainty surrounding the election.

The Census Bureau will deliver its monthly wholesale trade report for September. Wholesale inventories are projected to rise 0.2 percent, Bloomberg reports.
