State ag director: High-speed internet to drive future of farming

High-speed internet connectivity in rural areas is key to helping Missouri attract its next generation of farmers, the director of the state’s agriculture department said in an interview this week. Chris Chinn, director of the Missouri Department of Agriculture, said rural internet access is an issue where workforce development and infrastructure — two of Gov. Incentives approved for major mixed-use project in KC Crossroads District

Developers received approval Thursday for tax incentives on what could be the largest mixed-used development built in Kansas City’s thriving Crossroads Arts District. Indianapolis-based Milhaus Development plans to bring 340 market-rate apartments, restaurants and commercial property to several new buildings in the neighborhood, and to convert an existing building into another restaurant. Read more
