State high court gives Grain Belt wind energy project another chance at approval

The Grain Belt Express wind energy project will be sent back to Missouri’s Public Service Commission, following a unanimous ruling Tuesday by the state Supreme Court. The proposed Grain Belt Express Clean Line would carry wind-generated electricity 780 miles from western Kansas through Missouri, Illinois and Indiana via an energy transmission line. Read more

Clayton firm ElmTree acquires $300 million in properties

ElmTree Funds announced that it has acquired six properties across four states, including Missouri, for approximately $300 million. The Clayton-based real estate firm is adding to its portfolio with three office buildings, two industrial spaces and one health care facility. Read more

FCC chair casts doubt on Sinclair-Tribune deal

An acquisition involving two companies that own multiple Missouri media properties may be in jeopardy. The fate of Sinclair Broadcast Group’s proposed purchase of Tribune Media is in question after Ajit Pai, the Federal Communication Commission chairman, called for the deal to be heard in front of an administrative law judge. Pai said he has “serious concerns” about the deal. Read more
