US Fidelis Owner Sentenced to Four Years in Prison on State Charge

Cory Atkinson, the former co-owner of a major seller of auto service contracts, was sentenced Friday to four years in prison on state fraud and stealing charges.

Circuit Judge Ted House’s action regarding Atkinson, the former vice president of Wentzville-based US Fidelis, followed his sentencing last week to 40 months in prison on federal charges of tax fraud conspiracy and tax fraud.

“Rarely in this courtroom have I seen criminal conduct that impacts so many,” House said in St. Charles County Circuit Court.
