Former St. Louis Building Inspector Anthony Davis Guilty of Bribery

Anthony D. Davis, a former building inspector for the city of St. Louis, pleaded guilty Wednesday to charges that he solicited and accepted bribes relating to his duties of inspecting buildings and issuing permits for buildings in the city.

Between May 20 and Aug. 31, 2011, Davis allegedly accepted multiple illegal cash payments totaling more than $2,500 in exchange for ensuring that certain buildings pass inspection and issuing occupancy permits, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office. Read more on St. Louis Business Journal.
