Advocates Back Controversial Distressed Area Tax Credit

St. Louis Mayor Francis Slay was among several people to testify Wednesday before a Missouri Senate committee hearing in favor of extending the controversial Distressed Areas Land Assemblage tax credit. The bill would extend the $95 million program for six years and make the Bannister Mall redevelopment in Kansas City eligible for incentives.
