During Overseas Trade Trip, Nixon Promotes Boeing Plans

In the midst of a European trade trip heavy on aviation, Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon promoted his administration’s actions to encourage Boeing’s plans to add at least 400 more workers to the campus near Lambert St. Louis International Airport. Nixon said the new jobs fit in with the state’s Quality Jobs program, which provides tax breaks if the promised jobs meet certain criteria for pay and benefits.  Nixon is leading a large contingent of political, civic and business leaders on an eight-day trip through France and Belgium to promote more trade with Missouri.
