State Rep. Chris Kelly will not seek another term representing the 45th House District next year and will wait for a decision from state Rep. Stephen Webber before announcing his plans for 2016.

Kelly, a Democrat, is serving his ninth term overall in the House. He is eligible to serve one more term. But to do so, he must move from his current home, which is in the 50th District. Kelly, who recently said he was considering a state Senate bid in the 19th District in 2016, said he would like Webber to seek the seat instead.

Webber, who represents the 46th House District, said he still plans to run for re-election to his seat next year, but he said he has not ruled out running for the 19th Senate District in 2016.
