A professional soccer team will compete at the 5,000-seat Soccer Park in Fenton in the USL Pro league starting in 2015, according to a statement from the league. Jim Kavanaugh, CEO of World Wide Technology, will be the team’s CEO. The league would not disclose franchisee fees.

The USL Pro league currently has 14 teams in cities across the country. The league entered into a partnership with Major League Soccer in 2013, forming a relationship akin to minor league affiliations in other sports.

The St. Louis team’s name, logo and colors will be determined in the coming months. World Wide Technology is one of St. Louis’ largest companies with $5.04 billion of revenue in 2013.
